More Than A Snack
We believe that Nive Beef jerky is more than just a snack – it’s an experience. Our paddock-to-plate model lets us raise cattle ethically and sustainably on our property. We control every aspect of production, from hygiene to feedstock, which gives you a superior flavour.
We use a secret family recipe passed down through the years (originally from gravy). It dates from 1929 when the Nive Downs township was only a few decades old, and contains a unique blend of species and marmalade, helping the meat develop a distinctive, like nothing else on Earth.
We refined it over the years and eventually put it into beef jerky products in 2018. The spices enrich the beef, while the marmalade adds a sour twang.
But that’s just the original flavour. When you order online, you can also choose from other options that we developed over recent years. These include Thai Fusion, Roasted Chilli and Heated Garlic to give your tastebuds something new to think about.
Thai Fusion blends sweet, sour, and spicy notes to create an exotic flavour. It pairs beautifully with beef and is ideal for anyone looking for a unique taste sensation.
Roasted Chilli is a flavour designed for those who love heat. It’s fiery and smokey, as you might expect, but it is also refined, making it popular among jerky connoisseurs.
Heated Garlic was our final creation. It adds robust garlic undertones with a touch of chilli and is popular among those who love a garlicky twist in their snacks.
When creating these flavours, we knew they would have the sing if they were to compete with our original recipe. Because of this, we tested more than 72 recipes before settling on the flavours we did. We wanted to create variety and develop tastes to complement the underlying beef, meaning lots of trial and error before arriving at formulas that worked.

Our commitment to grass-fed and finished Angus and Charolais beef is one of the reasons why we’ve been so successful and remained in the business for this long. Generally, you can expect around 8 to 9 grams of protein and just 0.5 to 1 grams of fat per 28-gram serving. There are also almost zero carbohydrates (except for trace amounts from the flavouring) and numerous other nutrients, making our jerky suitable if you are following a low-carb or keto diet.
