3 great beef jerky snack recipes

Love your Beef Jerky (we do!). Here are three snack recipes featuring that are easy to make and convenient to take with you on the go:

1. Beef Jerky Trail Mix

Ingredients: 

– 1 cup beef jerky, chopped into small pieces 

– 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and peanuts) 

– 1/2 cup dried fruits (such as cranberries, raisins, or apricots) 

– 1/2 cup pretzel sticks or mini pretzels 

– 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional) 

 Instructions: 

  1. a. In a bowl, combine the beef jerky, mixed nuts, dried fruits, pretzel sticks, and dark chocolate chips (if using).
  2. b. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. c. Portion the trail mix into small resealable bags or containers for easy snacking on the go.

2. Beef Jerky Roll-Ups

Ingredients: 

– 4 large whole wheat tortillas 

– 1 cup cream cheese, softened 

– 1 cup beef jerky, shredded or thinly sliced 

– 1/2 cup baby spinach leaves 

Instructions: 

  1. a. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese evenly over each tortilla.
  2. b. Place a layer of baby spinach leaves on top of the cream cheese.
  3. c. Sprinkle the shredded or thinly sliced beef jerky evenly over the spinach.
  4. d. Roll up the tortillas tightly and slice into bite-sized pieces.
  5. e. Pack the roll-ups in an airtight container or wrap them individually in plastic wrap for a portable snack.

3. Beef Jerky Energy Balls

Ingredients: 

– 1 cup beef jerky, finely chopped or ground 

– 1 cup rolled oats 

– 1/2 cup nut butter (such as almond butter or peanut butter) 

– 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup 

– 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional) 

– 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional) 

Instructions: 

  1. a. In a large bowl, combine the beef jerky, rolled oats, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, mini chocolate chips (if using), and shredded coconut (if using).
  2. b. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and form a sticky dough.
  3. c. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls using your hands.
  4. d. Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. e. Transfer the energy balls to a container or ziplock bag for easy snacking on the go.
